LICENSING INFORMATION

Why should I use Hispanic cultural content images?

If you want a project that not only looks good but contains images which truly represent the Hispanic market that you or a client is targeting, Real Latino Images brings you the many faces and origins that encompass the Hispanic market. The models in our images have identified themselves as Hispanic; why have any doubts? For more information go to About Real Latino Images.

What do I need to know about stock photography before I order an image?

A stock photography agency like Real Latino Images has a collection of Rights Managed (RM) and Royalty Free (RF) images from commercial photographers. We are unique in that our images all contain Hispanic cultural content. Stock photography allows you to see a number of images which might work for a project for you or a client. Stock photography simply means that the images have been taken by great photographers on topics that we anticipate you will want from our experience working with marketing firms, advertising agencies and small, medium and large clients in insurance, the financial services industry, manufacturing, health care and so forth. An alternative to stock photography is for a special photographic shoot to be conducted in order to obtain the images needed for a particular project. While photo shoots still occur, their cost is often more than is desired or fits a particular budget. Take a look at our collection! The Website is searchable and our unique advanced search along with key words will help you find the image that is perfect for you. If you cannot find an image you want or otherwise want to plan a commissioned photo shoot for a project, we can assist you. Contact us at our customer service center, 1-866-536-1400; M-F 8:30 am to 6:00 pm CST.

What you need to know about licensing generally?

Real Latino owns or licenses photographic images from photographers around the United States and in Puerto Rico. Marketing images to a stock photography agency like Real Latino allows a photographer a wider market for their commercial images. Real Latino then offers the images to marketing firms, publishers and businesses that want images for advertising programs, brochures, annual reports and other business purposes. Real Latino allows the use of an image to a customer under certain agreed terms. The terms are set forth in a license agreement. Essentially a license agreement sets forth what images you have requested to use, describes how you intend to use the image, the term of the usage and what licensing fee will be charged for the usage. For instance, you have requested to use a picture of a mother and baby for the cover of a magazine with a circulation of 400,000 in the United States but not the magazine's European edition or you want to use an image for the inside of a brochure, with a 2 month usage. All of these factors are provided to Real Latino by answering some questions when you select the image. To see the full terms of the License go to Terms of Use.

What is a Rights Managed (RM) image?

Rights Managed (RM) images are images which are licensed on a per use basis strictly for a particular use, medium, period of time, print run, placement (i.e. cover), size of image, territory and other restrictions, as stated in the Real Latino Images license agreement. To see all the terms related to the licensing of a Rights Managed (RM) image, go to Terms of Use and then to Paragraph 15 for specific rights and restrictions.

What is a Royalty Free (RF) image?

Royalty Free (RF) images are images which are licensed for an unlimited usage for a flat license fee. No, royalty free does not mean free! It simply means that you have the flexibility to use the image without needing to set a time period for the usage and without a restriction on how many times or projects it can be used for. Royalty Free (RF) images can be used in multiple projects for multiple purposes consistent with the license agreement without an additional fee. This could be particularly helpful if the picture is a key to a marketing plan and is to be used on a number of collateral advertising pieces to be developed from time to time. To see the terms related to the licensing of a Royalty Free (RF) image, go to Terms of Use and then to Paragraph 16 for specific rights and restrictions.

Can I use a Real Latino image for comp purposes?

Yes. We know that the creative process involves putting an image with text on the page and seeing what you and your client think. You can use an image as a comp without an extra fee, if you agree to certain terms, including the length of the comp usage. We believe this is a necessary part of the creative process of picking just the right image. To see the terms related to the licensing for Comps, go to Terms of Use and then to Paragraph 14 for specific rights and restrictions.
